Claudia Batten is a true leader in the New Zealand business community. She has spent over 15 years in the technology sector, consistently pushing the boundaries of technological innovation. In 2002 she co-founded Massive Incorporated, a first of its kind platform for advertising in video games, and in 2009 she co-founded Victors & Spoils, the first advertising agency built on the now global concept of crowdsourcing. In 2006 Massive was sold to Microsoft for $US400 million and in 2012 the multinational advertising firm Havas bought a majority interest in V&S.
Today, Claudia regularly speaks about digital innovation, digital media, and building businesses for the future. She is passionate about New Zealand claiming its place in the digital world, and as the New Zealand Trade and Enterprise Regional Director for North America, she supports and oversees New Zealand businesses of all kinds as they grow internationally.
In recognition of her commitment to New Zealand and her achievements in tech, in 2013 Claudia was awarded a Distinguished Alumni Award from Victoria University of Wellington, and in 2014 she became the youngest ever recipient of the prestigious 'Supreme Award' at the Kea World Class New Zealand Awards.
